This is Stella, my most intimate composition so far. It depicts the relationship between a father and a young daughter, a major source of his inspiration. No complex arrangement, no sophisticated electronics. On the contrary, simple ukulele recorded using a laptop microphone with all the inherent noise and room ambiance, grand piano, a transparent beat, atmosphere. Jana Andevska's vocal as an embodiment of all the feelings involved. The video was shot through the lens of an 8 mm movie camera over the period of close to two years, most intensely during the summer of 2018. A father and a daughter. Stella.
